COURSE GRADING

Number of Hours : 8 hours / week for males and females
Semesters : 1st and 2nd
A. Evaluation:
i. Each student will be evaluated after each laboratory step done in two
“Booklet forms” set for that purpose (continuous assessment).
ii. Two or three practical exams at each semester to have final practical grade.
iii. Two assessments and Mid-year test are in adjunct to the continuous
assessment grade.
iv. Evaluation of the requirements.
v. Written and oral exam at the end of the year
B. Marks (Total of 200 marks)
i. Two written assessments each 5 marks( one at each semester)
ii. Two practical exams at the first semester( setting of upper and lower anterior
teeth out of 10marks and setting plus waxing-up for full upper and lower
dentures out of 20 marks)
iii. Two practical exams at the second semester ( Teeth preparation out of 10
marks and wax designs for RPD out of 20 marks)
iv. Mid-year written exam out of 30 marks
v. The delivered requirements are evaluated out of 20 marks ( 10 marks for
complete denture course and 10 marks for partial denture course)
vi. Final-written exam out of 60 marks (15 marks for complete denture course
and 45 for partial denture course).
vii. Oral written exam out of 20 marks (10 marks for complete denture and 1o
marks for partial denture course).
• Student work is evaluated after each laboratory step. A handwork evaluated as
average or accepted will be signed. The step has to be repeated by the students till it
satisfies the demonstrator.
• The “lab form booklet” will by collected from the students periodically and by the end of the year for continuous assessment and final grades.
I- Continuous assessment 40%
-Assessment 1 (Complete D) 5
-Assessment 2 (Partial D) 5
-Practical test (part I) comp+part. (10+10)
-Requirements ( complete+ Partial) (10+10)
-Mid year written exam(Complete D) 30
Total= 80
II- Final Exam 60%
-Written exam (Complete +Partial) (15+45)
-Practical test (part II) comp+ part (20+20)
-Oral exam ( comp+ part) (10+10)
Final Exam =120
